RE: The Demon Prince owns you now (Simply&Myth)

The nurse grinned from ear to ear, "I'll send them to James' room and you can pick them up later tonight." She leaned back up and began to clean up her supplies and place them on the tray. She tossed out the trash and as she picked up the tray and walked away.

Bec was instantly by Weilan's side when the nurse disappeared. "Do you feel better??" he questioned in an over the top, hyper child's voice. His face even lit up like a child's, his large blue eyes aiding in the over all look, it was almost questionable about how old he was. Tristan joined the two of them, jerking Bec back by his waist gently, "Give him room to breath" he said, the amused smile still on his face. Bec moved back but it didn't dampen his mood in the slightest.

"My brother should have had these burns taken care of before he left" Tristan commented. He shook his head and helped Weilan up off the bed and headed for the exit. "How do you like James?" he asked casually.

Weilan ignored Bec's question, finding his hyper child voice rather annoying. "Thankyou." he directed at Tristan, for getting Bec out of his face and helping him off the bed. "He should have, but I guess we both kind of forgot about them." he said as Tristan ushered him toward the door. "He's...well, um?" Weilan was having a hard time trying to explain to Tristan what he thought about James. All kinds of words were going through his head at the moment. 'Stubborn, hot, teasing, strict, tough, threatning, raunchy (XD), different, fair, built, ect.' he thought to himself, looking down and smiling.

Bec looked a little miffed as Weilan brushed him off without a moment's hesitation. He watched as the other boy thanked his Master for pushing him back and sulked quietly. Tristan glanced over at his slave and placed a hand on his back, rubbing it soothingly. Bec always came on too strong to new people, so from experience Tristan knew he would be back to himself in no time.

The older man turned his attention back to Weilan, "That great huh?" he questioned with a raised brow when the boy didn't reply right away. He hadn't noticed the smile on Weilan's face because he had it tilted towards the ground. Tristan moved closer to Weilan's side and slipped an arm around the boy's waist smoothly. His hand began to wonder towards his ass slowly, "Your experience in the demon Kingdom could be a better one, if you were my slave" Tristan said off handedly.

Weilan blushed slightly as Tristan pointed out his delayed, or lack of, response for what he thought about his Master. His body tensed as Tristan slipped his arm around his waist, becoming heated as he felt his hand trail it's way down towards his ass. Weilan's head snapped up as he looked at Tristan in disbelief. "I'm sorry," he sneered as he removed Tristan's arm from around his waist, "but I believe James gave me a task to do. I wouldn't want to displease him." He slightly bowed to Tristan while keeping eye contact, then turned and quickly walked away, cursing himself for not noticing Tristan's advances on him sooner.

Tristan remained in the spot Weilan had left him, his face twisted into a commical look of disbelief himself. He could never, in all his life, remember anyone refusing him, slave or not, he had always managed to win them over with his charm or forward his approach in some cases. He had to admit that Weilan had been a bit thick if he hadn't picked up on his advanced before this point. Tristan took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, reigning in his temper that he hardly ever let out for others' to see. He turned to look at Bec, who was staring at him with a serious look on his face.

"Follow him, he's going to gather firewood. See that he finds the old cross of our clan and burns it. We'll see if that doesn't displease James when he returns later tonight."

The white haired boy nodded, his large blue eyes unusually sad rather then the happy youthful child that they usually represented. He turned on his heel and ran after Weilan. He didn't catch up to the young demon until he was already outside gathering wood. "I was sent to help you.." Bec explained softly.

Weilan looked up as Bec approached him. Before he could ask what he wanted, Bec explained that he was sent to help. "Oh...ok. Well, I've already gathered some wood and put it in a pile over there." Weilan tried not to sound annoyed as he pointed of to a small stack of thick tree branches. "So just put what ever you find there, ok?" Weilan turned and started to search for more wood. "Thanks for the help, I reall do appreciate it." he added but didn't look at Bec as he spoke.

"You're welcome..I know my Master can be a pain.." Bec said hesitantly. He turned around in a full circle in the middle of the courtyard looking for any sign of Tristan's presence but he was met with silence and a chilling wind. Curling his arms around himself Bec began to walk along the pile, inspecting it for the clan cross. The white haired slave didn't want to help get Weilan into trouble, truth be told, but it was either Weilan or him and he didn't want to be on the receiving end of Tristan's anger today.

When his search came up fruitless Bec turned towards the small patch of trees a foot or so away from where they were gathering wood. The boy knew the cross was hidden within those trees in a small stone alter of sorts. The cross looked like old dry twigs fastened together as a child's plaything a long time ago but it represented so much more then that. The cross had, in fact, been made by a child, the demon King, centeries ago and was held above all other things.

Bec made his way towards the gathering of trees as another chilly wind blew by. The sky over head was becoming increasingly darker and there would be nothing better then a warm fire to curl up in front of tonight, Bec thought, thank goodness they were gathering dry firewood so they didn't have to wait for it to burn. He approached the trees and hesitated a moment before pushing the branches apart to reveal the stone alter. The cross stood in all it's glory, looking like it had been forgotten.

Bec reached out, hesitated, and then snatched it up. He returned to Weilan's side quickly and added the cross to the top of wood pile so it would be the very first thing Weilan would burn. "I think we have more then enough wood..what do you say we go inside and start a fire now? I think it's going to storm and you know how you are with thunder storms."

'He's not so much of pain as a...' he thought to himsef, trailing off, as he busied himself with gathering more wood. A chilling wind blew past Weilan, causing strands of hair to fall in his face. He glared up at the darkening sky, shaking his head disbelievingly, and tucking some hair behind his ear. As he carried another load of braches to the pile, where Bec was standing, his was met with another gust of cold wind. "Yeah," he agreed as he glared at Bec, "we should have plenty..." He grabbed more then half of the pile, cross included, and stormed off towards the castle.

Bec watched as Weilan picked up more then half the pile, he estimated, and stormed off towards the castle in a huff. The white haired boy shrugged his shoulders, "Was it something I said?" he called after Weilan. When the redhead didn't turn around, Bec simply watched his cute little butt until he disappeared from sight. He let out a heavy sigh and scooped up the remaining wood, knowing it would be enough for Tristan's chambers and if it wasn't he would someone else to retrieve it because Bec was more of a pleasure slave then anything else.

The boy carried the firewood back into the castle and up to Tristan's chambers. He didn't even bother knocking on the door before he entered. Another slave was present when Bec arrived but he jumped up and ran out the door. Bec hissed at him on his way out and placed the wood on the floor next to an already lit fire. Despite the fire the room was still dimly lit.

Bec turned his attention to the bedroom area expecting to see Tristan lounging out across the bed and he did. The older man beckoned him over and Bec obeyed, climbing in nex to his Master.

"Did he get the cross?" Tristan asked, threading his fingers through Bec's hair.

"Yes, he's probably burning it in James' chambers right now.." Bec replied, purring lightly.

"Excellent!" Tristan said, eyes lit up with the new information before dragging Bec down for a demanding kiss.

Weilan had walked quickly through the halls and up to James' chambers. Once inside he set the pile of wood down, quickly closing the door behind him. With his back to the door, he slid down and plopped on the floor. 'So much for secrets.' he thought to himself, placing his arms over his knees. He looked casual, sitting there on the floor in front of the door. After a few moments, wondering when James would get back, he made his way over to the fire place. Weilan didn't need to start a fire, because there was still some wood burning, but the flame was very small. If Weilan had been paying attention, he would have noticed the cross, thinking it was unusual, and set it aside. But his head snapped towards the window as some thunder roared outside, causing him to toss it in the fireplace. A few minutes later there was a roaring fire and the room was nice and cozy. Weilan, however, was curled up on the bed asleep.

*I feel the need to point out that he did notice that boxers were placed on the bed for him.*

It was late into the night when James returned home, but he wasn't alone. A tall and thin beauty was clinging to his waist as Aluka straightened her legs preparing to land. A few feet from the stables a long, wide dirt pathway stretched across a field. The path was meant souly for Aluka's landing strip since she was the only 'horse' from the stables that could fly.

The beast shook her head and released a loud streetch before landing on to dirt strip, her hoofs slidding a bit as the dirt began to turn into mud because of the rain. James patted her head effectionately as she trotted down the path and into the stables, stopping in front of her own stall.

James dismounted and offered his hand to the girl who had been clinging to him the whole ride. Her face was distored into a nausious look as she slid into James arms instead of taking his offered hand. "Aluka is beautiful but..I hate flying!" she murmured.

James craddled the girl, Lena,in his arms and carried her into the castle. They were both soaked from the pouring rain and chilled to the bone when they arrived at James' private chambers. The door swung open, admitting both of them, and closed with a soft click behind them.

The fire place gave off a dim glow and crackled pleasantly giving the room a cozy feeling. James sat Lena down on one of the couches and removed his cape to place it over her. She pulled out her pigtails and combed the wet hair, that dropped to her waist, with her fingers. She smiled and thanks James.

( Notice that Weilan slept through the storm...:] )

Weilan rolled over on his side, taking the pillow he was snuggling with him. Totally unaware that James was back, and with company. He continued to sleep soundlessly on top of the covers.

( Yes and I'm sorry for bitching about your one line! >_<)

"You're welcome" James replied simply, his tone indifferent. A rustling on his bed caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. He turned around sharply and took a step closer to the doorway of his bedroom. He felt like kicking himself when he realized it was Weilan, fast asleep and snuggling a pillow on top of the covers.

The sudden jumpy movement James made, had Lena jerking her head towards the bedroom as well. Her eyes were peeked with curiosity as she watched an effectionate look enter James' face and she instantly knew it was the little firecracker slave he had talked about. Lena found she liked Weilan from just the stories that James told but to meet him in person would be even better; who knows, perhaps they could get into mischief together some time!

Slidding the cape off of her body, Lena carried it over to the fire place so that it could dry.
She then joined James at his side and peered in at the red head. James made a move towards the bed but Lena stopped him with a hand on his arm. "Let him sleep" she said softly, "We're all tired and we have two weeks to get to know each other...I wouldn't mind sharing that bed though."

Lena took James by the hand and pulled him into the bedroom. She slid out of her short red dress until nothing but her bra and panties remained before she climbed into the left side of the bed. She snuggled in against Weilan's sleeping form because he was warm and she was still cold from the rain.

James toed off his shoes and pulled off his clothes then sunk into the warm and comfortable bed for a good night's rest.

Weilan hadn't even noticed that someone had crawled into the bed and snuggled up beside him. He remained soundlessly asleep, snuggled with the pillow. Hours later, when the sun's golden rays were peeking in through the window, Weilan's eyes fluttered half way open. Upon seeing a sleeping form next to him, and feeling someone snuggled up behind him, his eyes shot open, and he sat straight up. When his eyes adjusted, he caught his breath and sighed, very relieved. It was James, and not Tristan like he feared, that laid to the right of him. When Weilan turned his head to the left, he blushed slightly at the girl that lay next to him, then the panic came. Weilan started to play back his memory from the day before, and couldn't place her. When he looked back over at James, a little light bulb went off in his head. "This must be Lena." he said to himself.

Weilan carefully climbed out of the bed, trying not to disturb his Master or Lena and walked to the sitting area of the bedroom. On the table, like the day before, were all different kinds of breakfast items. Weilan poured himself a cup of apple juice, making sure to stay away from the coffee, and put some cream cheese on a bagel. He smiled to himself, as he took a bite of the bagel, remembering some kind of inside joke about it.

((Bwuhahaha! *at the bagel* and it's not a one line reply...but it's mostly rambling to me. o.o;))

{It's not rambling and you did a really good job! *Ish so proud..tear* ^_^; )

Lena shifted in her sleep as the one she had been snuggled up against was removed. When she reached out blindly, unwilling to wake up just yet, she found that Weilan was gone from the bed. Lena cracked one eye open and squinted against the morning rays of sunshine coming in from the windows. The storm had worked it's way through the Kingdom last night and would leave a blazing hot day in it's wake.

Lena opened both eyes and stretched leisurly. She glanced over at James but he was still sound asleep. Looking a bit closer she noticed he was drooling on his pillow. Lena stiffled a laugh and slipped quietly out of bed. She was still dressed in only her bra and panties but she entered the sittingroom nonetheless.

"Good morning.." Lena said in a child like soft voice. It was clear she wasn't a morning person as she approached Weilan. "Are you always up this early?" she questioned with one raised brow. Leaning forward she poured herself a cup of coffee and sat on the second couch instead of the one Weilan was seated on. She sipped it and waited for his answer.

"WHERE IS THE CROSS!?!"

A loud voice boomed from the hallway causing Lena to jump without intending to. She managed to cling to her mug though. "What on earth?" she muttered.

There was a loud crash of something breaking and doors being whipped open.

Weilan glanced up as Lena walked into the sitting room, then quickly looked at his bagel. "Good morning." he replied back, as she sat on the other couch. He watched her grab the coffee pot, and pour herself a cup. "Be careful," he warned her, "it's hot." His head shot towards the door as shouting could be heard in the hallway. He was out of his seat, making his way towards the door as a loud crash sounded in the hall. 'What the...' he started to think to himself. He reached for the door knob to make sure the door was locked, which it was, and stared a t the door for a moment before returning to his seat. Who ever was yelling didn't sound very happy, and Weilan didn't want to have to hear/deal with this so early in the morning.

Lena watched Weilan stand up and cross the room to the door. She didn't know what he was doing as he seemingly turned around and came back without having done a thing. She raised a brow at the red head. "Should we wake James?" Lena asked before she tacking on the second part to explain the reason for the question. ".. To see what's happening out there?"

"There's no need to wake me" James said as he passed through the doorway into the sittingroom. He ran fingers through his bed ruffled hair. He was wearing a pair of blue plaid pajama pants and looked as if he were not happy to have been awakened this early as he marched straight across the room. He unlocked the door and stepped into hallway to see what was going on.

Weilan was about to answer Lena when James walked over, his hair a glorious mess that he ran his fingers through. "Morning." Weilan managed to say as James walked past him to the door. He watched him unlock the door and step out of the room into the hallway, and thought about following, but he stayed seated where he was. "Is everything ok?" he called out to James after a few moments. Weilan looked down at his slippers, instead of letting his eyes wonder like he would have if it were only him in the room. Well, if Lena had been properly dressed, he would have looked to her and conversed about what might be going on out in the hall, but that was not the case. There was still some yelling out in the hallway, and Weilan thought about getting up to close and lock the door, but he wasn't sure if James had a key.

The demon King seldom visited the top floor of the castle, the third floor was his sons' area. When he did, they knew something terrible had happened and there he was kicking in bedroom doors this early in the morning. He was shouting, each sentence mashing together with the next but from what James could make out, the clan's sacred cross was missing. James had only ever seen the cross in passing but had never stopped to truly take the time to look it over and appreciate it for the symbol it was. Still, he could recognize the thing if he saw it, it had been ingraved into his memory as a child. No one was allowed to touch it and everyone was aware of where it was, with the possible exceptions of the newer slaves.

The hallway was beginning to fill with James' brothers, their slaves and random servants from several places in the building until the young demon Prince almost felt clausterphobic. He took a step back until he was standing in the threshold of bedroom doorway. He could see Tristan and Bec enter the crowd of the hallway, looking just as angry for being awakened.

"WHO GATHERED FIREWOOD LAST NIGHT?" The Demon King boomed in a voice loud enough to be heard over the loud din of the room. Everyone went quiet as they looked around at each other. Unlike everyone else who would be scratching their heads wondering where to start looking for the one who would steal the cross, The Demon King knew just where to begin!

James turned several shades of color, each accompanying a new emotion as his father asked for the ones who had gathered firewood. Turning around in the doorway James's hard gaze fell on the redheaded slave. "Weilan. Come here. Now!"

Weilan looked totally dumb founded as he walked to James side. "I did what you told me to do, nothing else, honest." he whispered to James, his eyes wide with terror. Weilan started to play back of all yesterdays events in his head. No cross, of any kind, could he recall. Not even when he had gone to the Nurses ward to have his burns checked and cleaned. Which reminded him to tell James to keep an eye on them, but now was definitely not the time. Weilan looked from James to James' father. "Your majesty." he said in a shaky voice as he bowed, then looked back at James. He was totally confused.

The Demon King stormed down the hallway towards James and Weilan. The fear rolling off the slaves in waves was almost tangible. He stopped at the door and eyed James none too coolly, "Stand aside James, I want to question him without your protection."

James drew in a deep breath and reluctantly stepped to the side leaving Weilan unprotected at his side. The large beast of a man reached out to grip the redhead by the neck. He jerked the boy, who weighed virtually nothing, forward and stared deep into his eyes. "Do you burn the cross, slave?! Think hard. What did you grab while gathering firewood. Was anyone with you?? THINK HARD! I WILL KNOW IF YOU LIE!"

Weilan disbelieving watched James reluctantly step to the side, like his father ordered. His eyes went from James to the Kings, (Uh-huh <-Elvis impersonation o.o;) as the King reached out and grabbed him by the neck. Weilan nodded, replaying yesterdays events through his mind again. "I..." Weilan said slowly, "was gathering fire wood, like Ja...my Master had told me to do." he glanced in James' direction, then looked back at the King. "I had a pile already started from branches I found lying around just outside the forest. Nothing that remotely looked like a cross, and then," he glanced over towards Tristan and Bec, "Bec came out to help me, and a few moments later we came inside." Weilan blushed slightly as to the reason they came inside, which was because of the thunderstorm looming over head.

The Demon King brought Weilan forward, lifting the boy on the ground until their faces were nearly touching as he studied his facial expression to determine if he was lying for not. After several intense moments, The Demon King roughly dropped the redhead on his behind on the floor. He turned to face James then. "How long have you had this slave?" he questioned roughly.

"For about a week" James replied rather quickly, without hesitating a moment. His butterscotch gaze held her father's own unwavering one.

"Did you educate him in the knowledge of the cross?" The man fired at him.

Something akin to fear flickered across the young Prince's face before he answered. "No. He had no knowledge of the cross."

Instead of relief flooding the room, things seemed to get more intense. "Which means that boy could have burned the cross and saw no reason why he shouldn't since his 'Master' hadn't told him otherwise! Dammit, James! What goes on in that thick skull of your's!?" The Demon King tapped his son on the head before the man jerked away from his touch. "These wild slaves of your's are quickly losing my patience! Punish him or I will!"

The Demon King turned away, directing his attention towards Tristan and Bec, questioning the white haired slave next but not before muttering something about James being like his Mother.

James gripped Weilan by his upper arm and hauled him to his feet, walking them both back into the room and slamming the door behind them.

"Punish me?! When I didn't do anything?!" Weilan was a little more then miffed, as James hauled him back into the bedroom. He was worried too, because he couldn't be so sure that he didn't take the cross and burn it. "I guess this is a bad time to say that my burns are fine, you just need to keep an eye on them." Weilan spat out. He struggled against James hold, but quickly gave up. His face went from angry to solemn in a split second as he realized that even if it wasn't him who committed the crime, he'd be the one to receive the punishment. 'I do what I'm told, and look where it get's me...' Weilan thought to himself.

"Weilan!" James said warningly, hoping that would put an end to his mouth running. He had raised his hand as if to strike the boy but thought better of it and lowered it again, a heavy sigh of frustration escaping him. "Do you realize how serious this is?!" James snapped at the demon boy. "If I find out that you did burn the cross I will punish you a second time. This goes beyond me! You should have been paying more attention and be thankful that my father isn't the one to punish you but don't think I am going to take it easy on you!" James released Weilan and paced the floor beside the couches, fuming.

"Go into the bedroom and sit. I don't even want to look at you right now. GO!"

Lena, who had been busy pulling her clothes back on from last night entered the sittingroom through the bedroom doorway. She had waited until James ordered Weilan out of the room, a she knew he would, before coming in to see him. As she passed Weilan on the way she patted his shoulder apologetically. She must have been the only one on the redhead's side, thinking he didn't do it and she couldn't understand why James would think so either when they both knew how sneaky Tristan was. When James calmed down enough, Lena would tell James this and they would question Tristan and his slave that helped gather firewood with Weilan.

Weilan glared at James as he yelled his name, and didn't even budge an inch when he rose his hand to strike him. "No, I don't realize how serious this is, because I'm stupid and like to put my neck on the line!" Weilan sneered at James. "As if!" Weilan stormed off to the bedroom, but stopped just before entering. "Maybe I should have taken you brother up on his offer, I wouldn't have to be looking at you right now either!" As Lena passed by him and patted him on his shoulder, he glanced at her. His face was scrunched and slightly red from yelling, but his eyes said that he was scared and hurt.

James turned on his heel and marched towards the bedroom after Weilan, with the intent to maim Weilan within an inch of his life. Lena stepped in front of him and threw her hands out to stop him. "No! Jamie, he's hurting enough right now!" James looked down at her and swatted her hands away just hard enough to accomplish what he wanted but not enough to harm her. She looked a little miffed but said nothing about it. "You should have seen the heart wrenching look he just gave me. I'm telling you he didn't do it!"

"Lena, you just met him and have no idea what he's capible of!" James roared, "You know as well as I do that this is more serious then simple disobediance. It's not a slap on the hand, it's a lot more then that! Of course he's going to look hurt but not as hurt as he will be when I get down with him!" James shouted.

Lena drew back from James. His temper was well known but he had never struck her before, although she wouldn't put it past him at a time like this. "James" she said, her temper serious as she met him with an unwavering gaze, "Weilan didn't do this. Atleast let me question Tristan and the slave that helped him gather firewood last night before you punish him. Please?" she pleaded on Weilan's behave.

James shook his head indifferently, "I can't tell you no but I have already been ordered by my father to punish him. I can't refuse that order."

"Oh, your father can go..suck a lemon!" Lena spat and marched from the room with a slam of the door.

Weilan was sitting in a chair by the window, looking out into the fields that lead to the edge of the forest. He brought his legs up to his chest and squeezed them really hard, trying hard to concentrate on the pain he felt there, and not the gut wrenching feeling he had in his heart. 'This is so stupid!' he thought angrily to himself as he stood up, his legs throbbing. 'I did nothing wrong!' Weilan glanced around him and for a tiny second felt a little bit claustrophobic. The sun was shining brightly, and there were no clouds to be found in a rather blue sky. 'What I would give to be out there instead of in here.' he thought to himself. Weilan looked at the chair and thought about using it to smash the window, then fly off into he forest, but he decided against it. "It'll just make me look guilty." he said with a sigh as he sat back down on the chair and pulled his legs back up to his chest.

Lena marched down the hall and didn't bother with mannors as she pounded on the wooden door with her tightly balled fist. There was no answer at first so she pounded again, harder this time. Tristan whipped the door open to see Lena standing there. "Lena, my dear, you're looking lovely this morning. When did you get here, how did you sleep?" The male asked with his trademark grin slidding into place.

Lena let her hand fly where it would, seemingly seeing the red hand print across his cheek before her hand actually reached it. "I know it was you! You burned the cross, didn't you! You're a coward for letting an innocent slave take the fall for something you did!"

The man stepped into the hall and closed his door behind him. He glared at Lena, "I assure you, I did not burn the cross. It's my father's prized possession, why would I do a thing like that?"

"Then you probably had one of your slaves do it for you! Speaking of which, where is the one that helped Weilan gather firewood last night? I want to talk to him."

Tristan blocked the doorway with his body. "Bec has already been questioned by my father and although he was found innocent of the crime, has been punished for his involvement with my brother's wild and untamable slave."

"Well, that's not what I asked. I want to talk to him. NOW!" Lena pushed hard against Tristan but he wouldn't budge. She gave up after several tries and returned to James room. "This isn't over!" she screamed at him.

Weilan sat there, looking out the window for what seemed an eternity, until he couldn't take it anymore. "That's it!" he screamed as he walked out of the bedroom and into the sitting room, looking for James, who was behind the couch pacing back and forth. Weilan marched right up to him and got in his face. "I didn't take the cross. As far as I can tell, it was at some kind of shrine just inside the woods, where I never went, because I certainly would have said so if I did. And as far as burning it, I might have. I can't say for certain either way because the room was so dim last night when I started the fire." he said in a very icing tone. "So go ahead and punish me! I only did what you told me too, and look where it's gotten me..." Weilan was so angry his eyes were becoming dilated, and were almost completely black.

James stopped pacing abruptly when he heard Weilan's scream from the bedroom. His eyes shot towards the doorway that the boy would inevitably come out of and he did, in a rage to land in from of James. The redhead drew himself up and pushed his face into James' own continuing his rampage. James was far from intimidated by the lithe slave. Infact, he could match the boy's intensity with his own. He didn't need this, not now, not from Weilan! As if he really wanted to punish his slave the way his father wanted him to! His Father tended to side with Tristan and James had never trusted Tristan.

No one thought James could handle his slaves let alone a whole realm filled with millions of creatures with tempers like his slaves' with weren't owned by him. This frustrated him more then anything that had taken place today and Weilan's attitude, as usual, was not helping matters. He would prove them all wrong.

James turned on his heel without a word and stormed into the bedroom where he changed out of his pajama pants and into his usual black attire for the day. He clipped on his belt but left his cape on the floor before returning to Weilan's side. He reached into a large pouch tied to his belt and retrieved a ballgag. He stepped forward and forced the redhead's mouth open to shove the ballgag in it then secured it at the back of his head. The silence was golden. (But duct tape would have been silver..)

Keeping ahold of the slave by up upper arm, James grabbed a pair of shackles and wrenched the boy's arms behind his back where he secured them too. Afterwards he picked Weilan up and slung him over his shoulder and carried him out of the room. Lena watched it all and couldn't find words to scream loud enough to stop James.

Weilan watched silently as James turned on his heel and storm in to the bedroom. Upon his return he had changed into his usual attire, belt included. He reached into one of the pouches and pulled out a ball gag which he forced into Weilan's mouth, and secured it behind his head. Weilan was so distraught with everything, he made no effort to struggle as James shackled him, and tossed him over his shoulder. His face was withdrawn and indifferent as James carried him out of the room, he barely noticed Lena and the frustrated and sad look to her.

As James was walking down the hallway, with Weilan draped over his shoulder, Weilan couldn't help but think he was to die. 'That's just stupid...' he thought to himself. 'That's because you're stupid, stupid...' Weilan scowled, 'Great! Now I'm arguing with myself!' Weilan's breathing had become very deep with each passing moment. His eyes had as least returned to normal. If he could, he would literally be kicking himself right now for his mouth, which always seemed to get him in more trouble then his attitude.

"I rather like this ballgag idea, I may use it after all of this is over just so I don't have to hear your mouth all the time!" James remarked as he carried the boy along. He was angry with Weilan but that didn't mean he didn't notice the lack of struggling against him James had expected or how truly light Weilan was. Perhaps he needed to feed the boy more..but that meant having to ungag him. James took in a deep breath and let it out in a frustrated sigh.

They made their way to the first floor, every pair of eyes present stared openly at them as James made his way towards the dungeon. It was the last door at the very end of the hall if one was coming from the main entrance of the castle but it was the first door if one was coming from the staircase, and they were. The door whipped open of it's own accord and admit the two of them.

Immediantly cries of pain and torture were heard from slaves being punished already in the dark basement area. The stairs leading down to the dungeon were narrow and old, they creeked with each step and alerted those already inside to others arriving. James reached the bottom quickly, he had no desire to be here longer then necessary. All he had come for was a cage and maybe put a little fear into Weilan.

Weilan rolled his eyes at James comment. He would have said, "Yeah, whatever." but with the ball gag already in his mouth, Weilan just proved James' point. Weilan was surprised, from what he could see of the narrow, old stair case, that they didn't just fall through. The cries of pain and torture from other slaves made Weilan think back to when he was first turned. For a brief second he was scared, but then he got angry at James for making him remember something he just wanted to forget. Whatever James was trying to drill in to him, Weilan just found his fuel to keep him going.

James caught the sound of something mumbled from behind the gag in Weilan's mouth and it only served to fuel his good opinion of the ballgag idea. He moved into the room and approached one of the guards of the room. Down here the men that ran the dungeon didn't belong to any of the brothers' guard, they were on James' Father's pay roll.

James cleared his throat and asked for an empty cage, preferably one that wasn't covered in blood or needed a good scrubbing before someone could be put inside it. The guard pointed to a collection of recently scrubbed cages in the corner. Reluctantly James approached it and walked through the various sized and shaped cages. It wasn't until he saw the last cage that he found what he was looking for. The cage was roughly half the height of Weilan when standing straight up; it was perfect. Weilan wouldn't be too uncomfortable but he would have to sit for a whole week which would become boring after so long.

James clutched a bar to one of side of the cage, gritting his teeth James called on a little bit of his demon strength and easily he lifted the cage into the air with one hand. He thanked the guard and as quickly as he possibly could James carried both the cage and Weilan back up to his private chambers on the third floor.

Lena jumped off the couch when James returned. The demon Prince sat the heavy cage in the corner of the room, right behind the door to the room, a window a few inches in front of it. He pulled open the cage door and lowered Weilan off of his shoulder before slipping him inside of it. The bottom of the cage was solid metal so there were no uncomfortable bars to sit on and one the size of Weilan could stretched out if they so desired but no more then kneel without smacking their head on the top of the cage. James swung the door shut and locked it, pocketing the key.

"If you behave I may take the shackles and ballgag off."

'Is he seruois?' Weilan thought to himself, as glared down at the floor, not daring to look at James. Weilan managed to sit himself self up, and in a quick move, was able to slip his cuffed wrists under his butt and out infront of him. After doing so, he looked up at James with a look of pure hatered and flipped him the finger. He then turned around with his back facing the room as he worked on the ballgag. Even if he managed to get it off, he had no want or need to speak to anyone, not for a long while.

Not even sure how he managed, but eventually he was able to get the ballgag off and tossed it away from the cage. Weilan sat indian style and leaned his forhead against one the the bars of the cage. He sat there silently brooding over the recents events, hating everyone, and hating himself.

James' initial reaction was to grab the ballgag and forcefully reincert it into Weilan's mouth but as long as the boy was being quiet, he would ignore it for now. He watched as the redhead turned his back on the room and leaned his head against cold bars. He felt his stomach do an unfamiliar flip, he liked Weilan and didn't enjoy doing this to to him, he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Lena scowled at James as she slipped by him and approached Weilan's cage. She disliked even thinking of it as his cage, but disliked it even more thinking of it as James' cage. The lithe, raven haired women knelt down and reached through the bars to rub Weilan's back. She wasn't sure how else to go about comforting him.

"Lena, Weilan is being punished. Get away from him. Now." James growled. Lena threw the man a disbelieving look, "Maybe this marriage is a bad idea.." she murmured before standing and walking away from the cage.

Weilan glanced at Lena for a split second as she tried to confort him by rubbing his back. His face was a mask of indifference until James told Lena to step away. Just the sound of James' voice infuriated him. Weilan wrapped his arms around his stomach and gave it a small squeeze as a nauseous feeling swept over him. After a few seconds it subsided, but he had this strange foreboding suspicion that it would get worse.

Weilan caught what Lena murmured, and shot a surprised look at her. Not sure weather or not she saw him, he shook his head no, as if to say 'Don't let this get in the way of your marrige.' He followed her with his eyes as she walked away, but only so far, then turned back around and leaned against the bar of the cage once more. Weilan sighed deeply and then closed his eyes to think, drowning out the world around him.

[Due to my awesome rust factor..it's been an awesome week and it's now Friday in the RP! Yay me! *Plays the song "Do you like waffles?" in the background* Moving on..]

James had taken active guard duty at the front gates of the castle. He had been at it all week to avoid being in his room with Weilan's caged silence and Lena's disapproving looks. Lena had effectively stopped speaking to James after he scolded her for trying to comfort Weilan and that was at the beginning of the week.

As the sun sunk lower in the sky and darkness began to engulf the land, James decided to turn in. His body ached and he was dirty from a fight he got in with one of Tristan's guards. Despite his disheveled appearance he felt better then he had in a long time and he was ready to talk to Weilan again. The redhead's punishment had been served for a full week as James had set it.

The youngest demon Prince made his way to the third floor and down the hallway to his private chambers. The room was quiet, he hadn't expected anything less, but it was an unnerving quiet - having spent nearly no time in it for the past week.

Lena was kneeling down next to the cage in the corner of the sitting room, a tray of food in her hands. The women was speaking in a soft tone, trying to coax the redhead to eat something, anything off of the tray.

Despite all her efforts over the past week, Weilan just smiled at Lena and shook his head no, before turning back to stare at the wall. He hadn't eaten or drank anything since being locked in the cage, and it was starting to show. He also hadn't said a word within the past week, and still refused to say anything, even to Lena. Weilan knew now the he didn't deserve this punishment, and at the same time he knew that he was punishing himself.

Weilan heard the door open and beame real tense as James entered the room. He didn't turn to look at him, but he just knew that it was James. Weilan had taken notice to James' absence over the week, and knew it was because he (James) was avoiding him. 'It must be nice to ba able to get away from your problems.' Weilan thought to himself. 'What a selfish jerk! Caging me up here, while he runs about all day. Problems don't go away just because you can't see them...' Weilan rolled his eyes and sighed heavily in annoyence.

Lena set the tray on the floor next to the cage as she had done hundreds of times, it seemed, and stood to confront James as he entered the room. Her pretty face was set in a scowl as she faced him. The scene would have been comical in different circumstances but no one would be laughing tonight; Lena was tall and imaculately dressed but James had several inches on her and he was rugged looking after a rough day of blazing sun and hard manual labor under it.

Even without James having spent much time in the room for the last week, Lena could see the toll the situation was taking on him. She noticed it in both of the men, they both were punishing themselves, but Weilan was looking a lot worse for wear. It wouldn't have been so bad if the boy would eat something and she would have forced it down his throat if she had been able to get inside of the cage to do so.

"James, if he doesn't drink something soon, he'll die. He's severly dehydrated. Some food wouldn't hurt either" Lena said in a dark tone.

James put on a practiced indifferent look and nodded at her words but remained silent. He made his way over to the cage and stood beside it. "Weilan, look at me."

As James walked over to the cage and stood beside it, Weilan sat still. He sifted his whole body, so his back was facing James, when he said to look at him. 'I refuse...' he thought to himself. 'The thought at looking at you now, or anytime makes me nauseous.' A thought popped into Weilan's mind that made him grow tense with panic. He'd been locked in the cage for a week now, and without eating or drinking anything, he'd grown weak. So, what if James opened the cage and forced him to eat? He knew he wouldn't be able to fight him off, at least not for long. 'I think I'm going to faint...' he thought agonizingly to himself.

James smiled faintly, even on his 'death bed' the boy still had fight left in him; he didn't expect anything less. James circled the cage slowly taking Weilan's entire appearance in, his hand reaching into his pocket for the key at the same time. If the redhead had seemed light to James before, it was nothing to the way he looked now. The slave boy was in need of a bath, some food, sleep, and something to drink as well, in short he looked like hell.

The demon Prince came to a stand still by the locked door and slid his key into place. He unlocked the door and knelt down to reach for Weilan with a warning growl. With Weilan in his weakened state James didn't want to take the risk of the boy causing harm to himself. The older male pinned Weilan's arms to his sides and pulled him out of the cage easily.

Lena hovered over Weilan as James walked across the room and sat the boy down on one of the couches. "Grab the tray Lena." The raven haired women hurried to complete her task and placed the tray on the coffee table seperating the two couches.

While James circled the cage, Weilan stared at his hands in his lap. He remained still and quite as James unlocked the door and reached for him...jumping slightly when he growled warningly at him. Weilan shrugged James' hold off of him as he sat him on the couch, still refusing to look at him. His expression became angry as James told Lena to go and get the tray. 'I won't eat.' he told himself. 'Not even if he tries force feed me.' Weilan watched as Lena placed the tray of food down on the coffee table, giving her a disbelieving look, before he turned his gaze to a spot on the floor as if it was more interesting then anything else in the room. Still refusing to speak or look at James. Two of the few things he could control in his life right now.

"You can hate me as long as you think it's necessary but I won't allow you to starve yourself, Weilan." James watched the boy's reaction to Lena following his command. "The last thing she wants is to do something for me. She brought this tray over for you, she cares about you and this seems to be a pretty poor way of repaying her for her kindness."

Lena sent James a hard look and quietly slipped out of the room to give the two privacy. James watched her disappear from the room before he grabbed the redheaded boy's chin and forced him to look at him (James). "This is how the life of a slave is, it isn't glamorous and this most likely won't be the last time you'll be punished for something. I don't want to have your death on my consious. Now, do I have to force feed you or are you going to do it yourself?"

James narrowed his butterscotch eyes on the boy, it was effecting him more then he cared to admit to see Weilan this shut down. He didn't want to handle this forcefully and he had a trick up his sleeve if it came to that.

Weilan ignored James' rant about him poorly repaying Lena for her kindness. Like he was one to talk...it wasn't until Lena left the room and James grabbed him by the chin, forcing him (Weilan) to look at him, that the reality of the moment was really setting in. Weilan's eyes locked with James butterscotch ones, his facial expression was angery from indignation, but his eyes said other wise. They showed the hurt and pain that Weilan had endured the past few days because of James. Tears started to fill Weilan eyes as he opened his mouth to say something, but he closed it and jerked his face away from James gaze. This is why he avoided looking at him, he knew his own eyes would betray him, and they had.

Weilan reached over to the the tray of food, a few tears silently slipping down his face, as if to feed himself. His hand gripped one of the four corners, pulling it slightly towards himself before he tipped the whole thing onto the floor. He went to stand up, to get away from James, but only fell back onto the couch because he hadn't used his legs for the past week. Weilan sighed in frutrastion, and crossed his arms over his chest as he waited for James' to react. 'This is one battle I'm not going to win.' Weilan thought to himself, looking anywhere but at James.

James caught himself before he could do an imitation of a fish at Weilan's reaction. One of his hands curled in to a fist at his side, he could think of several ways to torture Weilan for his disobedience and all options considered for punishment in the last week, James had selected what he thought was the least painful of them all.

The clatter of the tray of food hitting the floor brought him down to earth. Perhaps he was looking at the situation all wrong, it wouldn't have been the first time, and it was sure not to be the last. He had caught more then a glimpse of pain in Weilan's eyes and he even saw the tears run down his face before he flipped the tray.

Despite James putting himself in harm's way at the front gates of the castle to punish himself and to avoid his problems altogether, the pain he was experiencing now was worse then anything before. James reached out and placed a hand on Weilan's shoulder, his tone was raspy yet some how still authortative, "You did burn the cross, didn't you?"

The question was quite random but it was the underlining problem that needed to be solved before things could move forward again.

Weilan shot a look at James as he was asked if he did infact burn the cross. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Leaning forward he placed his elbows on his knees and covered his face with his hands. After a few seconds Weilan removed his hands from his face and placed/folded them into his lap. He then turned towards James without looking up at him, tears welding up in his eyes started to fall down his face. "I..." Weilan started to speak for the first time since he blew up at James, but his voice was no louder then a whisper. He cleared his throat, this time speaking a bit louder, "I...think I did." His voice was gentle, and tears continued to run down his face.

Weilan placed his hands back over his face. He was so angry and pained with all the events that went on over the past week. Most of all he was confused, he wasn't sure if he had burned the cross or not, but he knew there was no way that Tristan would have put Bec up to the task. He felt cheated, in more ways then one, because no matter how you looked at the situation, it was only logical that he would be the one to take the fall.

It was James' turn to draw in a deep breath and let it out in a heavy sigh. Not only could the man see the pain psychically draining Weilan but he could hear it in his voice and he didn't want it to go any further. Taking the boy by the shoulders, James turned him towards himself. He placed a finger under his chin and gently lifted it while using his other hand to wipe away Weilan's tears. James glanced up at the ceiling before giving the redhead his full attention and grudgingly admitting, "This wasn't your fault, reguardless if you did burn the cross or not. I should have told you about the cross but I didn't think it would come up."

James leaned in until he was inches from Weilan's face, a concerned look crossing his features, "I need you to eat" he said and glanced away then back at Weilan again, "I don't want you to die."

Weilan turned his face away from James and shrugged his hold from his shoulders. "I'm not hungry." he said bluntly, his voice still quite. "Have Lena bring me something to drink." Weilan added before James could say anything further. Even though Weilan was sort of coming to terms that he was to blame, he couldn't be so forgiving with James. It's not like they could just exchange all their pent up feelings, and after they hug go to get icecream. It would be a good while before Weilan could put his trust back in James, let alone look at him with out throwing some kind of fit. "I'll at least drink something..." 'if it will get you off my case.' he thought to himself.
